Thank you for considering Catholic education and Christian formation for your child. It could be one of the best investments you could ever make for your child’s future. Faith development, academic excellence, and dedication to service are key elements to Catholic education and set our school apart from other educational options.  There are many aspects to reflect upon as you consider the option of Holy Rosary School: we offer a school environment that provides a family-like atmosphere, small class sizes which allow for one-on-one attention, dedicated teachers with experience and knowledge, a faith-based curriculum & high academic standards, a commitment to service, and most importantly, a Catholic identity where all are welcome to pray and live the Gospel.

We are glad to share our school with Holy Rosary Parish and the Detroit Lakes community as we teach to the needs of each child and provide academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth.  We believe in supporting the parents as the child’s first teacher and in keeping communication between home and school a priority to nurture and prepare our students for their high school years.  Holy Rosary students graduate from 8th grade prepared to meet the moral and physical demands of the world around them.

The best way to experience Holy Rosary School is to “come and see”. Call and let us know when you would like to visit. Ask parents who have their children attending Holy Rosary how they feel about their experience.  Pray about your decision. We are here to support you in providing positive growth experiences for your child.

Thank you for considering Holy Rosary School for your child’s educational needs, and we look forward to being a part of your family’s life for years to come!
God bless,

Cathy Larson, Principal

Greetings,

Welcome to the Holy Rosary Catholic School website. We invite you to look around at our website and if possible, come in for a tour. We offer our students, an environment where learning is fun and personal. Students are taught and challenged to place others first, using their generous hearts and minds to grow into young men and women who will make a difference in the world. A highlight of my week is visiting classrooms, teaching about Jesus, answering questions, and playing games.

Look around and you will see that; students in our small class sizes and the caring, creative, qualified staff interact in a safe and nurturing learning environment. Our strong Catholic identity is a point of pride.  Our mission is to instill in our students the foundation necessary to go out into the world as lifelong learners, with a Christian spirit, well prepared for high school and for life.

Look around and you will see we have high expectations, kindness, compassion, and caring combined to round out our academic excellence. We are open to all learners. For more than a century, we have welcomed students. We are thankful that families, both parish and non-parish, entrust us with their most sacred gift—their children. We honor that trust by welcoming hearts, inspiring minds, and igniting excellence.

Blessings on your day!  Remember Look Around!
